Adlington Hoarding Design and Installation

Adlington underwent a new project in Macclesfield, building luxury retirement apartments for mature purchasers. 24 hour care is available in the apartments for those who need it.

Hoarding Site Survey

Before each project, we send out a member from the hoarding team to undergo a site survey. This is where we talk to staff at Adlington about their requirements and take measurements to see which materials will need to be provided for the project.

Hoarding Creation

The hoarding needed to be created so that the design lined up smoothly after being installed onto a hill. When installing hoarding onto a hill, there are different factors that need to be taken into account. This is when we our designer created a schematic diagram to ensure that the hoarding is position and fitted correctly making sure that the images and even the screws are lined up evenly.

The designer will take into consideration the placement of different objects such as walls, telephone wires, lampposts and even bins to make sure that the hoarding is installed perfectly. Creating a schematic design speeds up the process of the whole project. It saves time as our installation team will now know where each board needs to be placed and how to place it perfectly. Saving time also means that the end user will end up saving on hoarding costs.

Because the hoarding needed to be installed on a steep hill, our installation needed to create kickers and mitred headers to ensure a smooth uphill flow. They also had to cut around a all in order to fit the hoarding boards correctly.

Angles were created and painted Gladmond Blue so it would match the original colours of the hoarding. As mentioned before, even the screws ran straight along all of the hoarding as well as being painted Gladmond Blue. The team the scribed the bottom of the hoarding, following lumps and bumps all the way up the path.

Hoarding Printing

We printed the design of the hoarding onto aluminium composite panels. To do this, we used the Jetix flatbed press. This was because the size of this press enabled up to print two panels at once which again speeded the whole process up saving time and hoarding costs for the end user. We then coated the panels in anti graffiti laminate using a 3m wide applicating table which laminates each panel in under 30 seconds.

Hoarding Installation

The whole of the hoarding project was installed by the Spiral installation team. The reason that we have our own team to install the hoarding for you is so that you don’t need to hire another company, saving your more money. We also like to make sure that we see the whole project through from start to finish, ensuring that the hoarding has been designed, printed and installed with full satisfaction.
